IS GOD SUPERNATURAL? WHY? WHY NOT?

If you are speaking in the Tongue of the Divine to someone who only understands the language of the supernatural, there cannot be any successful communication for “What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? Or what does a believer (an Obedient Saint) have in common with an unbeliever (rebellious and unbaptized disobedient sinner)?”  One speaks out of hopeful and blind TRUST and divine revelation and submission to God and CHRIST and the other only understand what their human imagination, feelings and intellect can grasp hold of and agree with.   One operates in the POWER of The Holy Spirit and the other in the strength of their humanity.
Don’t Get It Twisted!  The Supernatural and the DIVINE are NOT the same and never have been.  Not once in the Holy Scripture's Account of Christ and His Apostles was God or His Messiah ever referenced as being or operating in the "supernatural."  They are Holy, Divine, Almighty, SPIRIT AND TRUTH, LOVE AND FORGIVENESS, MERCY AND GRACE, but never "supernatural."

Religion And Marijuana

I wonder why people grimace and respond with disgust and disapproval at the very idea of using cannabis (Marijuana) as medicine or therapy for illnesses and sufferings.
The hypocrisy is too much for me to bear and be quiet about.  What do they think that their artificially and chemically concocted pain killers like hydrocodone, percocet, morphine and hydromorphone and demerol are made of? Sugarcane and corn syrup?  No!  They are made of mind-altering, body damaging, addictive narcotics-opioids.
My LORD!  If God made a natural plant that grows free or man's interference and can cure illnesses and is a natural remedy to sooth discomforts and relieve pain and has no lasting negative side effects on the body or the mind and isn't physically or chemically addictive, why not use it to better your health and improve your quality of life?
I am tired of allowing the hypocritical propaganda and policies of government, the judicial system and religion dictate what is healthy and not healthy for someone who is suffering and or dying.  Folks should be allowed to pursue their health and seek a cure for their diseases in a safe, reasonable way without being harassed or stigmatized or threatened by Law Enforcement. Folks should be allowed to seek relief and a cure for their sickness, pain and diseases anyway possible and available to them as long as it doesn't injure anyone else or places anyone else in harms way.
Don't get it twisted!  The negative attitudes about marijuana has nothing to do with holiness, righteousness or being saved. You just will not find any evidence in Holy Scripture of God or Christ damning someone for trying to treat their sufferings with a naturally growing plant or medicinal herbs or any other substance or plant.
The government and pharmaceutical companies hid the secrets of the medical benefits of cannabis for their own personal, medical, financial enrichment and private uses and application while brainwashing the public into accepting their labeling of Marijuana as an illicit drug and painting a negative image and perception of the plant through media and misinformation. Their clandestine propaganda doesn't make marijuana evil and the government holy.  To the contrary.  It makes them the perpetrators and the cause of much unnecessary suffering and pain.  The government's propaganda campaign against marijuana doesn't make it evil and it doesn't make its user a bad person no more than taking percocet for severe back pain makes anyone an addict or a bad person.
The law can make anyone a criminal.  We can see the results of the law being engineered and applied to certain segments of our society in order to criminalize and demonize them and ultimately incarcerate and dehumanize them and diminish their potential while handing out lesser penalties and sometimes turning a blind-eye to other groups of individuals who use artificially created, chemically enhanced and more damaging illicit drugs and prescription drugs.
I don't have the time or the energy to quote the facts to you about the number of Black Men who are incarcerated for marijuana sales and use while their white counterparts usually got probation, parole, rehabilitation and rich.
I would hope that in this age of information sharing that we would educate ourselves a little more about something that seems to be doing so much good for so many people despite the misinformation, fabricated arguments and lies that the government and religions have spread about it.

“Saved By The Blood and Not By Religion”

By Bishop O.W. Prince

Some folks put entirely too much trust in themselves and their church.

Some folks’ hope of salvation is in their regular church attendance.  Some folks’ hope of salvation rests upon their church membership. Some folks’ hope of eternal life after death depends heavily upon their tithes and offering. Some folks’ hope of salvation is in their being baptized by burial into water in the name of Christ Jesus.   Some folks’ hope for eternal life rests in their speaking in tongues.  Some folks believe that strict observance of the Ten Commandments will guarantee their entrance into the Kingdom of God.  And albeit, these things may have their proper place as responses to God’s Forgiving Love in Christ Jesus, I trust only in the Blood of Christ and His saving work upon the cross.

THE BLOOD NEVER LOSES ITS POWER!

I am saved by the Blood of Christ through Faith (Trusting Obedience) in God.

In whom or what do you trust?

IS CHURCH "SEXY?"

There are some folks who go to “church” for the wrong reasons and with the wrong attitude.

Some go to worship services lusting after someone and looking for someone to hit on and/or hookup with (Have sex with).

Some “churches” serve only as a hunting ground for the depraved mind, lustful spirit and sexually immoral.

I wouldn't play with God like that but some people just don’t care.

Why Do You Go To “Church?”

“Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.  For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world.  The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever.”  ~ 1 John 2:15-17

“No one Can Serve The Lusts of The Flesh and The Spirit of Holiness.  Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other.” (Bishop O.W. Prince)

Why Are We Still Saying “One Nation Under God?”

I was watching “We The People with Gloria Allred” about a case between two co-workers.

During the deliberations, the plaintiff was shown to be an obnoxious bully who incessantly harassed the defendant about her weight and eating habits.

The plaintiff made some remark that she believed the defendant to be pregnant and that the defendant may have been ashamed of being pregnant because she was unmarried.

Judge Allred questioned the plaintiff about what she meant by implying that the defendant may have been ashamed or embarrassed about being pregnant and single. She wanted to know if the plaintiff thought that the defendant should be ashamed of being single and pregnant. The plaintiff, in effect, back peddled and said “of course not” and that she was a good person – implying that good people do not think that being single and pregnant is nothing to be ashamed of or embarrassed about.
However, this same “good person” was not admonished or questioned about bullying someone about their weight or eating habits.

It is obvious to me that the demonically clandestine and subliminal message in all of this is that it is alright to harass someone about their weight and how they look but it is unacceptable to suggest that someone should be ashamed of being a fornicator and becoming pregnant outside of the bonds of holy matrimony.

“We don’t even have the common decency to be ashamed of our own sinful behaviors anymore. We have become brazen in our filthiness and disgusting in our whoredom.” (O.W. Prince)

Why are we still saying “One Nation Under God” when our courts and laws openly contradict the moral principles of God?
THE WORD OF GOD SAYS...
"They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts.  Having lost all sensitivity, they have given themselves over to sensuality so as to indulge in every kind of impurity, and they are full of greed. That, however, is not the way of life you learned." - Ephesians 4:18-20 (NIV)

ASK THE BISHOP / WHAT DOES GOD SAY ABOUT ORAL SEX?

QUESTION: (Anonymous)

Bishop, I heard a young person say that they were saving themselves for marriage but was engaged in having oral sex until they get married. They didn't consider oral sex as a sex act. What is your position on this matter?
_____________________________________________
ANSWER:

Thank you for your question. Most preachers/Pastors would avoid answering this question in an open social forum like FaceBook, and some have dared express a compromising, socially pleasing, watered down moral stance on sex and sexual perversions. However, I have made a commitment to try to answer your questions and maybe help someone else that may have a similar question and are just too shy or embarrassed to ask it.

This is an easy question to answer. It is not difficult at all. Sex is sex! Any sex outside of marriage is absolutely wrong, particularly “oral sex.” Therefore, your “young person” has already crossed the line of sexual impurity and can no longer be considered sexually pure or sexually chaste (Faithful to God). The Word of God indicates that it takes a debased mind, dishonorable passions and a darkened heart to go against nature and do what ought not to be done (Romans 1:18-32).

  • The Bible is clear on sexual fidelity (e.g. Hebrews 13:4; Ephesians 5:1-3; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11).
  •  Sexual practices that are “contrary to nature”, i.e. meant to produce a pregnancy, are forbidden. Homosexuality is the most obvious – and clearly condemned (Romans 1:26-27). Therefore, any variation or imitation of that which God calls an abomination, whether in marriage or out of marriage, whether between opposite sexes or the same sex, is condemned.
  • The Bible states clearly that our bodies (Referring to those of us who have repented, been washed in the blood of Christ by water baptism into His name and are filled with His Holy Spirit) are not our own, and that we are to glorify God with our bodies (see 1 Corinthians 6:12-20; 10:31). Our sexual conduct in marriage should glorify God.

In accordance with the Holy Scriptures and The Holy Spirit that dwells within me, I believe we should avoid every sexual practice that is clearly forbidden in the Word of God, and that we should enjoy the freedom God gives to us in marriage, subject to the governing principles of His Word.

As for those saints who may read this post and come under conviction, the Word of God says:
  • “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9)

As for those who are unsaved according to Holy Scripture, you may obtain a new life in and with Christ by obeying Acts, 2:38:
  • "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”
Repent!!!!

Knowing Fear

In the Authorized King James Version of the Bible, it is reported that the phrases Fear not” or “Be not afraid” appears 103 times.

In the New Testament, “Fear not” appears at least 16 times and “Be not afraid” appears at least 9 times for a total of 25 times.

“Fear” itself is spoken of over 500 times in the King James Version of the Bible.

And Jesus said unto Simon, “Fear not. From henceforth thou shalt catch men.” – Luke 5:10

And in Matthew 10:28 Jesus says to “fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”

And in Psalms 111:10 it says, “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom.”

Is the Bible contradicting itself or are there different types of fears being spoken of.

Let’s Examine This Further.

The Sign of Jesus' Return

In Matthew 24:7-8, Jesus Christ foretold signs that would mark the time leading up to His return: "For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places …"

We have certainly seen devastating earthquakes in recent years. The December 2004 earthquake off Indonesia was the most powerful in decades, unleashing a massive tsunami that took some 300,000 lives. Less than a year later, an earthquake in southern Asia killed another 30,000.

In Matthew 24:7, the Greek word translated "earthquakes" is seismos, from which we derive such English words as "seismology," referring to the study of earthquakes. Strong's Lexicon defines it as "a commotion, i.e. (of the air) a gale, (of the ground) an earthquake—earthquake, tempest" (Strong's No. 4578).

So seismos has a broader meaning than just the earth shaking. Matthew 8 records how a violent storm overtook Jesus and His disciples on the Sea of Galilee, threatening to capsize their boat and drown them—until Jesus miraculously calmed the winds and waves.

The word used in verse 24 for this powerful storm is seismos, here translated "tempest." So we see that seismos can also refer to violent storms and isn't limited strictly to earthquakes. When Jesus foretold "famines, pestilences and earthquakes in various places," His words encompass natural disasters that include earthquakes, but can also apply to hurricanes, tornadoes and other such deadly storms.

As we saw with Hurricane Katrina, these storms can be enormously destructive. Katrina took more than 1,200 lives and caused an estimated $200 billion in damage, not counting the economic hit from losses to shipping, oil and gas production, fishing and agriculture. New Orleans, devastated by the storm, will not fully recover for decades— if ever.

A hurricane like Katrina, which reached category 5 strength before weakening, can produce winds greater than 155 miles an hour and push ahead of it a wall of water 18 feet or higher, doing major damage to virtually anything in its path.

Are such natural disasters increasing as Jesus foretold? I would say “YES!”

Scientists at the Georgia Institute of Technology and the National Center for Atmospheric Research have concluded that there has been "a sharp increase during the past 35 years in the number of category 4 and 5 tropical cyclones.” These are the category of storms that cause most damage on landfall. Research shows that those rated category 4 and 5 have increased by 80 percent from the 1970s to the present decade.

Now we are being threatened by hurricane Sandy. Forecasters warn that this hurricane will likely collide with a cold front from the West – creating a never before seen phenomenon called a hybrid "superstorm." This is not a typical storm. It could very well be historic in nature and in scope and in magnitude because of the widespread anticipated power outages, flooding and potential major wind damage," It has the power and potential to reach up to 800 miles inland and is expected to impact the east coast of the United States as early as Monday, October 29, 2012.

This should certainly make us sit up and take notice. Later in Jesus Christ's same prophecy, as recorded in Luke 21:25-28, He says: "And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; men's hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth …”

"Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near."

This hopeful Word is directed at those of us who are truly saved and who have been persecuted for the sake of Christ (Matthew 24:9).

The sad truth is that many souls are blind as to what is directly in front of them. They refuse to see the signs or accept God’s Word of warning regarding His return.

Matthew 24:12 expressly tells us that “Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold.” And 1 Timothy 4:1 confirms this prophecy for “The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.”

There are demonic forces in the earth leading men away from God’s truth and teaching doctrines that are contrary God’s ordained plan of salvation through Christ Jesus. And those who have been deceived have also been blinded to the truth whereas they cannot see the need for repentance, water baptism in the Name of Jesus Christ and being filled with the Holy Ghost. They are under a strong delusion whereby they believe that they are saved without obeying God’s instruction on how to be saved - they are following the doctrines of Demons.

I implore you my brothers and Sisters, with all of my hearts, to “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”

Repent before it is too late.

I say again, REPENT!!!

THERE IS ONLY...

(Edited from Al Shannon’s Post in “Biblical Proof”)

Christians only have ONE authority, and that is Jesus Christ. He has the right to order and command. He said: All authority was given to him both in heaven and in earth. (Matt. 28:18).

God has the right to tell us what to do by virtue of the fact that he created us and not we ourselves. (Ps 100:3) When man tries to become his own authority, then he is acting according to the same evil desires with which Satan tempted Eve. Eve rejected God’s authority when she entertained a second opinion. When we seek ways to circumvent God’s laws we are committing the same sin Eve committed.

Authority Needed In Life

Authority is necessary in all aspects of life. Without it, there can only be anarchy and chaos. Without authority in the home, children will never learn the discipline needed to function in civilized society. Without authority in school, no one will receive a proper education. Businesses can’t exist without someone in charge because eventually no one will be productive. Without moral authority in governments, people will turn to wickedness like abortion, homosexuality, and adultery. Authority is needed everywhere. This is something that most people freely recognize. Someone has to be able to call the shots, and say the buck stops here.

Authority Needed in Religion

The need for authority is especially seen in the religious world. The existence of hundreds of denominations reveal this. The many divisions that exist, even among God’s people, testify of the need for authority. Divisions and denominations exist because people, at sometime, did not listen, and submit to the authority of God. Instead, they became their own authority, and acted in lawlessness.

“In those days there was no king in Israel: every man did that which was right in his own eyes.” Judges 21:25

The nature of man requires authority. Man can’t even direct his own steps. (Jer. 10:23). Some deny that we need authority for all that we say, and do. When people act or teach something without God’s authority, then they must look to one of two things: (1) Themselves or (2) Others. Yet, the Bible condemns looking to men as the source of authority (Jer. 10:23; Col. 2:20-22; Matt. 15:7-9; Rom. 12:3; 1 Cor. 4:6). Without God’s authority, we only have man’s worthless opinion, which changes like the wind, shifting to and fro.

“That we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting,
but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head — Christ — from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.” Eph 4:14-16

Humanism teaches us that we do not need God to tell us what to do. However, if one person can appeal to himself or another man for authority, then why can’t another person do the same? Who is to say who is right or wrong? When men contradict each other, how will the issues and questions be settled? Where else can we appeal? Without God, confusion and every evil thing will exist in society. Only division and evil will result. There is no way for us to be united based on the authority of man. Only God’s Word can unite us, and keep us united with the same mind and judgment. 1 Cor 1:10

Sadly, some are insisting that the pleas for authority are legalistic, and unnecessary. “The church must change with the times,” they say. Actually, all who believe and espouse such nonsense are not rejecting us, but rejecting Christ’s authority, and His Word. (Matt. 28:18; Jn. 12:48).

“And the LORD said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them.” 1 Sam 8:7

A standard of right and wrong is essential to mankind. Our Standard must be the inspired Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16-17, Romans 10:14-16). Without the inspired Word of God, we can’t know God’s will. This is why it is vital for us to seek for a genuine Holy Spirit filled, God sent man-of-God who is appointed by God to teach and preach out of the revelation of Holy Spirit and not out of religion’s pre-translated text. “If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God” (1 Pet. 4:11).

Mock it if you want, reject it if you will, but only God’s Word comes with the Spirit and power of God.

“And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.” (1 Cor 2:4-5)

Nadab and Abihu Rejected God’s Authority

Many examples given to us in the Old Testament testify to the need for acting with authority (Rom. 15:4). Nadab and Abihu were condemned to death because they acted in the silence of God. (Lev. 10:1-3). They used a strange fire which the Lord “had not commanded them”. Perhaps they thought that they did not need authority. Many strange fires burn on the Alter of Christianity today that God did not authorize. Unless they repent, they too shall perish.

Jesus’ Authority

The Pharisees questioned Jesus authority, and asked Jesus about his teaching and works: “By what authority are you doing these things? And who gave you this authority?” Jesus didn’t say, “I don’t need any authority. You’re just being a legalistic!” Jesus ultimately refused to answer them because they refused to admit that John the Baptist preached with God’s Authority. This also reveals that authority only has two sources: God or man. (Matt. 21:23-27)

Jesus came with the power to heal the sick, raise the dead, and forgive sins. Even they knew that no one could do such without God’s authority and power to do so. Yet, they said, this man has a devil which gives him such authority. (Mt 12:23-28)

Jesus eventually told them that he received his authority, and power from His heavenly Father. But rejected this and crucified our Lord between two thieves. When we reject God’s Word and it’s authority, we are rejecting Christ. (Jn 12:48)

Apostles Authority

All Christians are to follow the Apostles’ doctrine which is One with the doctrine of Christ. (Acts 2:42; 1 Cor 11:1) The apostles likewise taught the need for acting with authority from God. We are to the endeavor for unity (Eph. 4:16; 1 Cor. 1:10). The only way for unity to be maintained is through respect for God’s authority. We must all follow the same standard and abide by it (Phil. 3:16). True disciples of Jesus Christ abide in his word (Jn. 8:31,32). We must remain within the confines of the revealed Word of God (1 Cor. 4:6). To go beyond the teachings of Christ and His Apostles is a total disrespect for The Lord and will bring destruction on whomever seeks to change God’s law. (2 John 9, Rev. 22:18-19).

Conclusion: The Church is to be subject to Christ who is the head in everything (Eph.5:23,24). Without question, the Scriptures teach us the need for acting with authority in all that we do and teach. Let us never complain at God’s commands. Let us not mock God’s preached and revealed Word. Instead, let us bring honor, and glory to God by our full submission to his will. Let us remember we are the created and not the creator. (Ps 100:3) Let us always remember: Christ is the “author and finisher of our Faith and the author of eternal salvation to all who obey him” (Heb. 5:9; Heb 12:2). Let us never forget, God always has the Last Word.  His Word is everlasting and waiting to Judge us all. (John 12:48)

“4 There is one body and one Spirit. In the same way you were called to share one hope. 5 There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 one God and Father of all, who is over everything, through everything, and in everything.” (Ephesians 4:4-6)

ONE AUTHORITY!

“Do God’s Children Need A Revival?”

2012 owpPSE Cookie resized Where in the Holy Scriptures does Jesus or his apostles establish the practice of “revivals” or “religious revival services?” The answer is “nowhere.” Nowhere does Jesus or his apostles establish the practice of revivals in the original Christian church of the first century. As a matter of fact, the word “revival” doesn’t appear anywhere in the original language of the Bible. The nearest equivalents are “revive” (quicken) and “reviving,” but these may be applied to individual awakening and are not synonymous with, what is traditionally known as, “religious revival service.”

Religious revivals and the word “revival” descend from religious traditions absent of scriptural and apostolic authority and divine approval.

I realize that this is strong language and challenges most of our beliefs and religious practices. However, it is not my intention to be hurtful or confrontational but to edify the body of Christ as inspired and instructed by the Holy Spirit of God.

One may easily borrow from the earthly and scientific disciplines of etymology, philosophy, sociology and theology to explain the term “revival” and substantiate the practice of religious revival services. However, the fact would still remain that revivals, as we have come to know them, are not a part of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ.

revival_0

For a Christian to accept the notion of or participate in the religious practice of “revival services” is for them to believe that a Christian can be dead spiritually and be brought back to life. This is contrary to everything that Jesus taught us about the ever-living Spirit of God and the born-again believer (John 11:26,John 6:47, Romans 8)

The word “revive” is made up of two parts: “re” meaning “again” and “vive” meaning to “live.” Thus, “revive” means “to live again, to be brought back to life, health or vitality.” Although this concept sounds good it lacks the authority of Holy Scripture and it contradicts the teaching of Christ and His apostles.

Neither Jesus nor his apostles ever advocated for revivals or accepted the notion that once you were born of the water and of the Spirit that the Spirit would die and need reviving. No! It is the Spirit of God that makes us alive (Romans 8:11). If indeed we have the Spirit of Christ, we are constantly revived (2 Cor. 4:16). Only those who are a part of the counterfeit church of Satan or those who have been deceived by religious traditions would dare think that God’s Holy Spirit needs reviving.

As members of the Body of Christ, we are instructed to build one another up and keep each other encouraged (Hebrews 3:13, 1 Thessalonians 5:11, 1 Corinthians 12:20-27). We were not instructed to do this through some religious service but on a daily basis. It is The Way of LIFE.

1 Thessalonians511

However, in our contemporary Christian churches, especially in the predominately black southern churches (where my experience mostly lies), the word “revival” has become synonymous with fund-raising services.

In the name of “revival services,” most churches are just raising money. They choose the revivalist that can draw the largest crowd in the hope of raising the most money. There is little or no concern for the truthfulness of the revivalist’s message or the integrity of his salvation. The main concern is raising money.

In the name of “revival services,” many churches have membership drives whereby their goal is to see how many souls that they can get to join their religious institution. They just want to increase the number of potential paying members in the hope of increasing revenues. It is a calculated business strategy and promotional venture.

In the name of “revival services,” some Pastors exchange pulpits with each other and in essence exchange monies with each other so as to increase their own exposure, popularity and wealth.

In the name of “revival services,” many churches put on a religious production with various performers including preachers, comedians, singers, choirs, musicians and other talents that may or may not be true agents of God. Their goal is to create a festive atmosphere of joy and vibrancy whereby one may feel saved without actually being transformed. And in exchange for this false sense of salvation, the collection plate becomes the collection basket and the Alter becomes the place where people toss their monies in response to the performance much like a minstrel show.

I have yet to go to a revival service where money was not a significant part of the service. And I have never seen anyone revived at a revival service. I have seen them deceived. I have seen them lied to. I have seen them motivated to an emotional frenzy. I have seen them robbed of their money but I have never seen a spiritually dead person brought back to live simply by attending a revival service. Some may have gone through the motions of reanimation but I assure you that they did not experience genuine salvation.

“You Cannot Revive That Which Was Never Alive.”
revival_logo 666

Not all so-called revivals have clandestine agendas. Some churches are sincerely trying to reach lost souls with the message of Jesus Christ. Some churches and some evangelist are adamant about teaching and preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom of God. Some are devout followers of Christ and teach the importance of genuine repentance, water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. However, such churches should not call their services “revivals.” If they must have a distinction they should be but called “evangelical services.” They are evangelical at heart; attempting to fulfill the ministry of the kingdom of God and not their own surreptitious ambitions, denominational policies, theological beliefs or financial agendas (2 Timothy 4:1-5). They have given themselves fully to the ministry of eternal Life (John 14:6).

The Word of God says, “Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teachingdo the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.”

Can I See God When I Look At You?

2012 owpPSE Cookinecutter
If you allow the world to set your moral compass,
If you allow the world to form your opinions,
If you allow the world to define what a Christian should be,
If you allow the world to dictate what is morally acceptable,
If you allow the world to determine what is holy,
If you allow the world to shape you into its own image,
Be it known that you are conforming to the image of the god of this world—Satan.

2 Corinthians 4:4 and 1 John 5:19 clearly tells us that the whole world is under the control of the devil.

James 4:4 calls those of us who have conformed to the image of the world (in worship, clothing, speech, thought or sexual immorality) adulterers and enemies of God.

It doesn’t matter what your political rank is. It doesn’t matter what your religious distinction may be. It doesn’t matter about your financial or social status. It doesn’t matter if you are a preacher, teacher, songwriter, gospel singer, comedian, televangelist, rapper, movie star or celebrity. If you have conformed to the image, sexual perversions, immoral views and anti-Christians thoughts of the world, you are in the image of Satan and are declared to be an enemy of God.

God instructs us in Romans 12:2 that we should “not conform to this world…”

It is getting harder and harder everyday to distinguish between the saints and the ain’ts.

Through one of the most powerful tools of Satan, the communication air ways—television, internet and music, many have been deceived and influenced to take on the image of the world (Ephesians 2:2-3). Christianity has been commercialized, preaching has been glamorized and the pastor and the church has been idolized. Churches are imitating the style, dance, music and language of the world. Some so-called Christians are conforming to the popular social trend of the day—homosexuality, same-sex marriage, secular music tones and lyrics, disrespectful and provocative clothing, etc. Many churches have abandoned God’s divine order of gender role assignment in the church in favor of a social agenda of sexual equality—effectively calling God’s way evil.

Beware!!! There is a way that appears to be right, feels right, sounds right and looks right but in the end it leads to eternal death and damnation. (Proverbs 14:12)

Only God’s way leads to Eternal Life.

Only by being renewed through the transformation that come through obedience to God’s ordained plan of salvation—Repenting, Washing at Baptism in the name of Jesus Christ and being born anew of His Holy Spirit—Can anyone hope to be saved and begin to resemble Christ.

Can I See God When I Look At You?

Bishop’s Special Offer for May 2012

2012 Bishop Vegas PSEWe know that phony prophets are not the only ones who are fronting. We have way more phony Christians than phony prophets but that is an ongoing assignment. There are countless so-called Christians who want be seen and respected as a Christian while hiding their practice of whoredom, fornication, drunkenness and other unspeakable acts of immorality against God’s Holy Commandments. There are worldly entities disguised as Christian ministries encouraging the social trends of lewdness, vulgarity and the tolerance of homosexuality while ignoring and rebelling against God’s admonitions to be “Holy as He is Holy.” Addressing these ills is an ongoing work and I’ll come back to them later.
However, today I would like to offer my friends, followers and Bible Scholars an opportunity to receive my latest CD entitled “Why Ask Why.” Due to the support of some of my partners, I am now able to offer you this CD for the price of Shipping & Handling – less than the price of a “Happy Meal” – ($5.00). This offer is limited to the supplies of CDs that we have on hand. You must have this CD if you are truly interested in genuine, authentic, biblical salvation.
It will…
  • Help you identify false preachers and teachers.
  • Equip you with the Bible knowledge necessary to make an intelligent decision about who you should listen to regarding the saving of your soul
  • It will provide you questions to ask any church that you are considering joining.
  • It will reveal the original plan of salvation of Christ and His Apostles purely from the Holy Scriptures and not from intellectual theology or denominational religion.
  • It is an awesome, Power Packed, 21 minute, evangelical tool to help you witness to others.
The Bible says:
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I also will forget thy children. (Hosea 4:6)
God acknowledges that His people will be destroyed due to the lack of His Truth. The Word of God also indicates that the cause of this lack of knowledge is not just rebellious people but pastors who have forgotten God’s Eternal Moral Law – not teaching God’s Truth but the gospels of men. They have been rejected by God.

You should want to know how to identify those who have been rejected by God so as not to be ensnared by their smooth hypnotic rhetoric and inherit the wages of their sins.

What is the Church?

Traditionally we’ve used the word “Church” in a number of ways. For instance, we say “I went to church today…” or “We had church today.” Many of us grew up saying those very things. We’d use the word “church” to define either a physical building or any religious gathering. We still use the word in that way today.

However, using the word “church” in such a secular manner only dilutes its true meaning. The Church is not a building, nor is the Church a religious gathering. The Church is The Called Out. Ones (Ekklesia) – “a called out people.”

Think about it, do you think that God would have given His only Son simply to be identified with a building, a song, a religious gathering or a program? Certainly not!! “For God so loved the world that HE gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in HIM shall not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). The Church is One – One Lord, One Faith and One Baptism. In Acts 2:38-42, the apostles of Christ demonstrated how we are to enter into Christ’s Church and become apart of the Kingdom Of God. If you confess Jesus as the Son of God, repent of sin and are baptized by submersion into water in the name of Jesus Christ, according to holy Scripture, then you are added to the body of Christ – The Church.

John 4:24 teaches us that “God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in Truth.” Therefore the “Church” is Spirit and Truth – not brick, mortar, clay, or wood. And in whomever God’s Holy Spirit resides, they are the Church.

Romans 12:5 declares that we “The Church” are one body in Christ—many members, yet one body.
Repent!

Today's Word & Prayer for Today's Christian

“Consider this: The Father has given us his love. He loves us so much that we are actually called God’s dear children. And that’s what we are.” ~ 1 John 3:1 (GW)

2012 Bishop OWP Post TransHave you ever noticed that you are never a grown-up to the ones who birthed you? They completely disregard the gray hairs, crowfeet, and bulging waistlines of your adult life. No matter how many children call you “Dad” or “Mom,” to your parents you are still just a child yourself.

They seem to think you have slipped into the closet to put on grown-up clothes and are really just playing a game. They must believe that somewhere beneath the receding hairline there is still a child, hiding in the shadows of adulthood. The worst part about it is (keep this quiet) I think they are right!

And like our parents, the Lord looks beyond our façade and sees the trembling places in our lives. He knows our innermost needs. No matter how spiritually mature we try to appear, He is still aware that lurking in the shadows is an insecure little girls who needs her Father to tell her that he loves her and he is going to make everything alright. He is aware that beneath the façade of brawny masculinity is a little boy who needs his Father to reassure him of his manhood and tell him that he is the image and glory of his daddy. God is aware of the hidden issues of His “all grown-up” little children.

Romans 838 the love of GodThe Father understands the hidden fears, insecurities, anxieties, hurts, anger and feeling of revenge that lurks in each of us from time to time. He is aware of the worst in us, yet still thinks the best of us.

He understands the child in us, and He speaks to our blanket-clutching, thumb-sucking, infantile needs. In spite of our maturity, income, education, or notoriety, He still speaks to the childhood issues of our aging hearts.

The Father’s Love Never Fails.

Today’s Prayer
Father, I pray to You today in the name of—*YeHoWsHua HaMashiach – Jesus the Christ.  I thank you for adopting me into Your family and for calling me Your child. I am grateful for the privilege to be called a child of God. And like a child I am still growing and learning. I need Your guidance and instruction to help me navigate this tedious life. I am unsure of my myself and I need Your reassurance. I have strayed from the path You’ve chosen for me and I need You to lead me back to the path of righteousness. I have even been rebellious at times and now I repent and I need You to forgive me O God. Have mercy on me. No one knows me like You do. Speak to the issues of my heart and heal all of my hurts and pains. Daddy, I need You and I need You now! Help me to become more and more like You—to look and sound like You and to walk in the knowledge and power of my birthright. This is my prayer today in the name of the LORD YeHoWsHua* (Jesus) the Christ, Amen.

Footnote:
The Hebrew spelling of the name of Christ is used in this prayer for educational purposes. Yehowshua is often shorten to Yeshua but out of respect for my Lord I chose to use the spelling of His proper name to demonstrate that His name s above every name and that even the spelling of His name is relative to the spelling of The Father’s name – remembering that there were not any vowels in the Hebrew alphabets. Thus, YHWH (Yahweh) and YeHoWsHua (Yahweh is salvation) are grammatically and uniquely related.
